OSMOSUN® 13 SW – Bora Bora, French Polynesia

An OSMOSUN® Sea Water unit producing 80 m3 of clean water per day operating only with solar energy, without batteries, and 160 m3 every night, powered by the local energy grid.

The OSMOSUN® 13 SW desalination plant, based in Bora Bora in the South Pacific, is operated by SUEZ to supply the local freshwater system with 240 m3 / day. The unit is fed with raw water with 35g/L salinity through a beach well drilled in coral subsoil. The unit produces, along with the sun exposure, 80 m3 / day in complete autonomy, and when required by the local population, 160 m3 powered by the local energy grid at night.
